A car enthusiast approached us while he was making over his 1971 Mazda RX-2. He wanted to design a custom dash to accommodate an aftermarket MicroTech digital display to replace the three analogue dials.

 

We first 3D scanned the existing dash to create a digital 3D CAD file which we then modified to create the new opening. Once he was happy with the design we 3D printed it in an automotive grade plastic.

 

The new dash will be upholstered in vinyl to match the new interior. This is a live project so stay tuned for updates...
